Primrose Healthcare

What we offer to our client

Our Services

Personal care

We understand that many people wish to remain at home despite requiring assistance and that is where we like to help. We believe in assisting you with washing, dressing and bathing to enable you to remain at home for as long as possible. Our staff will ensure that you are treated with respect and will always maintain your dignity. You might also require the carers to live-in, or provide sleep in or waking night service.

Dementia care

We have extensive experience in working with adults with dementia. Dementia is the name for a group of illnesses that affect the brain. Around 750.000 people within the UK have Dementia, with a high number of people remaining at home with care to enable them to remain independent. At Primrose Healthcare we work closely with health and social care professionals to ensure that we develop a robust care plan to assist our carers to support you in the best way possible. Our staff receive Dementia training and training in dealing with Challenging Behaviour. We recognise that having Dementia can be both frightening and frustrating and this may cause some individuals to become anxious, unhappy or even angry. Our staff receive ongoing support and detailed care plans will identify possible triggers, de-escalation techniques to help the individual remain calm.

Palliative Care

If you or someone you know has been informed that they require a palliative service, we at Primrose Healthcare are here to help to support you at what can be an upsetting time. Often people prefer to remain at home, as opposed to going to hospital or to a hospice or residential setting, this is so they can spend time in a place they are comfortable with their loved ones.

We would work collaboratively with yourself, your family, healthcare professionals, Palliative Care Nurses, District Nurses and other professionals as required, working together to ensure that you receive the best possible care, keeping you comfortable making sure that all of your needs are being met.

RESPITE SERVICE

We are aware of the importance of respite for those who have become full time carers of loved ones. Sometimes you are that busy taking care of someone that you forget to take some time for yourself and this in the long term can have repercussions on you being able to care for someone long term. We understand that being able to place trust in someone to take care of your loved one, is not easy, as we all believe that no one can care for someone as well as you would yourself. However, we are tried and tested, and our carers have undergone a rigorous vetting process, are trained to a very high standard and would be introduced slowly prior to any break to allow you and your loved one to build a relationship with the carers. Whether the respite is to be for a holiday, hospital appointment or if you need it in an emergency after becoming sick, the care we will deliver will be tailored to meet your needs.

SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

Just because an individual has a learning disability, does not mean that they should not be able to live in a home of their own. At Primrose Healthcare we can assist a person to complete daily tasks that will enable them to maintain their independence and dignity. We would do this by sitting with yourself or family member and social/healthcare professional and looking at what tasks you require support with. This could be providing an enabling service by helping you to get out and about in the community, attending appointments, assisting you with medication or assisting you with cooking a meal for instance. We recognise that each person is an individual and should be treated as such so each package of care would be tailored specifically for you.
